# Blinka Prohibitions

> Cardholders, spending, and account activity that are prohibited on the Blinka Card program and across Blinka accounts.

**Last updated: July 28, 2026**

These are the Blinka Prohibitions referenced in the [Blinka Card Authorized User Terms](/legal/cards/authorized-user-terms), the [Blinka Card Terms](/legal/cards/card-terms), and the [Blinka Terms of Service](/legal/terms-of-service). They apply to every cardholder, every transaction, and every account on the Blinka platform.

We may decline, reverse, or block any transaction, and suspend or close any card or account, that we reasonably believe involves anything described below. Where a category is regulated rather than unlawful, we may require evidence of licensing before permitting the activity.

## 1. Eligible jurisdictions

Blinka serves businesses worldwide. Card issuance, card usage, and virtual accounts are each subject to a list of restricted jurisdictions maintained by our card issuer and the card networks, and the three lists are not identical: a country may be eligible for a virtual account but not for card issuance.

These lists change. Rather than reproduce a snapshot that would fall out of date, we apply the issuer's current restrictions at the time of each application and each transaction:

* We confirm jurisdictional eligibility during onboarding, before a card is issued. If your jurisdiction is restricted for a product, we will tell you before issuance rather than after.
* We will decline any transaction involving a jurisdiction that is restricted at the time of the transaction.
* You can ask us which restrictions currently apply to your business at any time by contacting [support@blinka.co](mailto:support@blinka.co).

Independently of the issuer's list, cards and accounts are never available to any person or entity that is:

* Located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive United States sanctions.
* Identified on any United States government restricted-party list, including the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, or owned or controlled by any such person.

## 2. Cardholder prohibitions

You may not hold or use a Blinka Card if you are, or are acting on behalf of a business engaged in:

* Distribution of illegal substances or controlled drugs without proper licensing.
* Human trafficking, prostitution, or escort services.
* Sale of counterfeit or unauthorized goods.
* Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or other deceptive practices.
* Production or distribution of illegal digital content, including child exploitation material.
* Political campaign fundraising, political action committees, or donation platforms.

You must also be an employee, contractor, or agent authorized by the Company to use the card on the Company's behalf. Cards are not issued to individuals for their own account.

## 3. Spending prohibitions

You may not use a Blinka Card for any transaction involving:

* Purchase or trade of digital currencies.
* Drug-related purchases, including marijuana, cannabis, CBD, and black-market items.
* Payments on dark web marketplaces, or for hacking or cybercrime services.
* Internet pharmacies that are unlicensed or operate outside regulated jurisdictions.
* Firearms, ammunition, or explosives.
* Hazardous materials and chemicals without proper regulatory clearance.
* Escort services or similar platforms.
* Unlicensed or illegal auction sites.
* Unregulated lending or payday loan services.
* Data brokerage services, particularly those involving unauthorized personal data.
* Purchase or trade of endangered species or wildlife products.
* Any expense that is not a business expense incurred for the benefit of the Company, and any personal, family, or household expense.

<Note>
  The prohibition on purchasing or trading digital currencies is a restriction on **card spending**. It does not affect funding your Blinka account or holding a stablecoin balance, which are governed by the [Blinka Terms of Service](/legal/terms-of-service).
</Note>

## 4. Virtual account prohibitions

* Any attempt to circumvent the security of the Blinka platform, obtain unauthorized access to another user's account, or interfere with the operation of the Services.

## 6. Changes

We may update these Prohibitions at any time, including to reflect requirements imposed by our card issuer, our banking partners, or the card networks. The date above shows when this list was last updated. Continued use of the Blinka Card or your Blinka account after an update means you accept the current version.

## 7. Reporting

If you believe a Blinka card or account is being used for anything described above, contact us at [support@blinka.co](mailto:support@blinka.co).
